Installation Steps
Remove old showerhead
Turn counterclockwise by hand. Use adjustable pliers with cloth to protect finish if stuck.
Clean the threads
Remove old tape and any buildup from the shower arm threads.
Apply Teflon tape
Wrap 3-5 times clockwise around threads. This prevents leaks.
Install new showerhead
Hand-tighten clockwise. Give a slight extra turn with pliers (with cloth). Don't overtighten.
Test for leaks
Turn on water and check connection. Tighten slightly more if leaking.
Pro Tips
- •Match your finish: Chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, or brass should match your other fixtures.
- •Check GPM rating: 2.0 GPM or less saves water. 2.5 GPM for stronger pressure.
- •Don't forget the arm: If your shower arm is old/corroded, replace it too ($5-15).
- •Read reviews: Real users will tell you if pressure is good and if it leaks.
