Schedule Installation
Installation day is exciting but requires preparation. Clear the area, protect your home, and know what to expect.

Before Installation Day
1
Clear all countertops completely
Every item off counters. Small appliances, dish rack, everything. Pack in boxes if needed.
2
Empty base and upper cabinets near counters
Vibration during install can shake items. Remove anything breakable from adjacent cabinets.
3
Clear the path
From front door to kitchen. Installers carry heavy pieces. Move furniture, rugs, fragile items.
4
Protect floors
Lay cardboard or drop cloths from entry to kitchen. Installers should bring their own, but have backup.
What Happens During Install
- Arrival: 2-4 person crew with pieces on A-frame truck
- Dry fit: Pieces placed on cabinets to check fit
- Adjustments: Minor cutting or shimming as needed
- Seaming: Multiple pieces joined with color-matched epoxy
- Securing: Counters attached to cabinets with adhesive and clips
- Sink cutout finish: Final cutout polishing if undermount
- Cleanup: Dust cleanup, debris removal
Important Reminders
- •Be home all day: Installation times are estimates. You need to be available for questions.
- •Inspect before they leave: Check edges, seams, sink cutout. It's easier to fix now than later.
- •Wait 24 hours: Let adhesive cure before using sink or putting weight on overhangs.
- •Take photos: Document the install, especially seams. Good for warranty if issues arise.
Post-Install: Coordinate Plumbing
After countertops are installed, you'll need a plumber to:
- • Connect sink drain and supply lines
- • Install faucet
- • Hook up garbage disposal
- • Connect dishwasher if moved
Schedule plumber for same day or next day to minimize time without a working sink.
